Last time when the read-a-thon was held I didn’t participate. I was more at the sidelines watching and wondering how it must be to read for 24-hours straight. After debating for a long time on whether to leave all my obligations and join the read-a-thon and also considering other aspects I have finally decided to join the fun. As this is my first time I am not sure whether I will be able to do it for 24-hours straight or even for half the time, but I am going to try.
That said, I am also going to stop if I feel I am not enjoying myself. For the read-a-thon I have pulled out some books from my TBR pile. I tried to include more review copies/ ARC’s but I realized I didn’t have many that were light and easy to read. But there are a couple of ARC’s in my stack. Here’s the picture.
Bad Girlβs don’t die is an ARC. And it’s YA. And it’s quite short, not more than 250 pages, I think. And my sister has already read and loved it. I’ll probably start with this since it’s an ARC and I would like to feel upbeat and energized while I am reading this as I have to review it too. Another ARC I have added in the stack is The vigilante witch hunter. It sounds like a fun book and it’s short too. The Lisa Kleypas book is for the time when I will be really sleepy and tired to read anything. She is one author that can keep me awake late at night. I have also added 3 short stories collections. Lighting the dark side, 20th Century Ghosts and Fragile things. What else? ummm…do you feel if any book shouldn’t be here? Let me know and I’ll seriously consider it. I probably won’t be reading Un Lun Dun. But let’s see.
EDIT: Oh and yes, I almost forgot. After months of avoiding Twitter I have finally joined it. I don’t know how long I’ll be active there, but for now, do come and join me HERE
I’m so glad you’re joining in! Your stack looks great. π And you definitely have the right attitude-if it stops being fun, stop.

How exciting! I wish I could join but with my two young girls around at home it’d prove to be a challenge to me, LOL. Anyway, have loads of fun!!!
I’m glad you’ve Evermore in your pile! And that’s a page-turner IMO. π

Wow! Good luck! I’m not sure I could read for that long without falling asleep… unless it was a real thriller!

I’m not doing the full 24 hours either, and I’m doing a hybrid of reading and cheerleading. I loved Fraglie Things, and Un Lun Dun is one of my favourite books.
Enjoy, and good luck! π
