Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Genre: YA fantasy

Rating: 3 out of 5

My thoughts:

The good: The setting of Ketterdam, the writing, Kaz and Inej, character building, the way the backstories are effortlessly intermingled with the current story.

The bad: The plot is done a thousand times already, the middle section was very slow. How are all the main characters teenagers? Just because it’s a YA book doesn’t mean all the characters have to be teenagers, especially in a setting like this where it’s not a highschool.

Another YA book disappointment for me. It wasn’t bad but I was clearly expecting more. I may or may not read the Crooked Kingdom. Or I may just wait for the Netflix series.
