Weekend Updates!!!

I had a great weekend which started on Friday evening when I met up Melody and Alice. It was so much fun and I really hope we can do it again. I will definitely post a couple of pictures with a few details but they are not with me, so as soon as I get the links (hint hint).

We were thinking of going to a Holi party on Sunday but my husband was so not into it and besides we need a big group to enjoy Holi celebrations, so we decided to give it a miss. Happy Holi btw!!!

So we went to Downtown East which is a big mall types thing. We had yummy lunch.

My poor attempt at food photography

My husband and my friend went to play pool which I don’t like much so I wandered around a little and surprisingly found a children’s bookstore. I bought The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. It’s set in Venice and looks great.

And then we went bowling. 3 games and I was the lowest scorer in each of them 😦

Indoor Ferris Wheel

And then we watched Wolfman, beautiful cinematography but the movie was very slow and it was very bollywood-ish.

Thats all for now. How was your weekend?

  1. I had a wonderful time with you and Alice on last Friday evening, Violet! We definitely need to do this again, hehe. I will forward you the pics I took soon (unfortunately there won’t be much as you know my battery has gone flat!! I’m hoping Alice will send us the pics she had taken!) 😀

    Happy Holi to you!!

  2. Happy Holi to you! I echo Melody and it’s really great to meet both of you in Singapore! I will try to send the pics as soon as I can. Be on the lookout for them. LOL!

  3. OH! I just read on Melody’s blog that you got to meet! I’m just thrilled for you. It’s so fun, isnt’ it? I look forward to the photos.
What a nice weekend even if you didn’t win out at bowling. Food looks great. I had a lovely weekend . Hub and I and the dog took the Cape Cod Brewery tour and sampled some fine beers, then had a wonderful lunch. Weather was dreary and wet but still a lovely time. and I got to finish books and blog a lot AND watch movies. The best.

  4. Three of my favourite bloggers were in one place? I wish I had been there 😛 How awesome that you three got to hang out! It sounds like you had a lovely time.

  5. I’m so jealous you got to meet Alice and Melody. 🙂 I am especially glad though that you had that opportunity and had a good time. It sounds like the rest of your weekend was wonderful too!

I had a quiet weekend, nursing a sick husband. Managed to get a little reading done, but not much. I hope you have a great week!

  6. How fun! I hope you guys had a good time. 🙂

I read The Thief Lord a few years ago, because I love books set in Venice. I didn’t like it very much, though–but maybe you’ll enjoy it more than I did.

  7. I’m so jealous that the three of you were able to meet, but happy for you since I love you all 🙂 I’m usually the lowest scorer in bowling too, but it’s still fun.
