ummm…How do I start?

I’m getting married πŸ™‚

For those who are old and regular readers of my blog, yes, it is the same guy. My parents have agreed to the wedding now πŸ™‚

When you ask? 27th Nov of this year πŸ™‚

I couldn’t be more excited πŸ™‚

Sorry for the overdose of smileys but I really cannot stop smiling πŸ™‚

Are the smileys distracting? πŸ™‚

Okay, to make up for them, here’s our pic. It was taken in July last year at my elder sisters wedding.

  1. Congratulations. It’s easy to see you’re over the moon about it (as you should be). Much luck as you start your lives together (and getting through all the fuss to get to the day ::grin::).

  2. Congratulations! That is so exciting! That is so soon – is it normal for Indian weddings to take place so quickly? I love Indian weddings – they always sound so much more exciting than ours. Do you plan the festivities or is it your family that arrange it all? It must be so exciting! I hope all the planning goes well – make you you let us know how it is all going!

    1. Oh well, I don’t think you know the history but it isn’t sudden. We have been trying to convince my parents for the last year (different castes and all that) and finally they have agreed, so it doesn’t feel so soon, in fact it still feels like November couldn’t be late enough πŸ™‚

Families arrange things like the wedding hall and caterers and stuff. Rest is done by us, which means shopping πŸ™‚

Indian weddings are fun, yes. I’ll post photographs whenever possible πŸ™‚

        1. Oh yes, it’s the same here, but I guess we were lucky, we booked a Party hall instead of a Wedding Hall for the wedding, not many people know you can do that πŸ™‚

We did go through some trouble looking for the Reception Hall in Mumbai but we finally got one πŸ™‚

  4. Congratulations!!!!! I’m so excited for you and I’m so glad your parents agreed. One of my co-workers went back to India in hopes of marrying his sweetheart and her parents said no. I feel so badly for him. So, I know it must be a relief to have your parents’ approval. I look forward to many pictures of your wedding celebration!
