I am so excited that I have to tell you this. You probably won’t find it as interesting, but anyway.
I just read about a photo editing software at Bethany’s blog.
Picnik.
It’s seriously awesome. I always wanted a software that was free and easy to use because I don’t do photography much. All I want is to increase the brightness or maybe reduce the red-eye thing. Till now I used Picasa but somehow it makes the picture look bad.
Although some of the features are premium there are free features which are equally good and enough for me. See the picture below. Before and After. Cool, isn’t it?
My sis had taken this snap with my cell phone and for some reason the flash wasn’t working. So I just brightened it up a bit. Although I have done the same on Picasa it somehow doesn’t give the same effect. Try it, you might like it. Thanks so much Bethany.

And now I have a few awards I wanted to acknowledge. Sorry for being late and lazy about it.
The Humane Award is to honor certain bloggers that are kindhearted individuals. They regularly take part in my blog and always leave the sweetest comments. If it wasn’t for them, my site would just be an ordinary book review blog. Their blogs are also amazing and are tastefully done on a daily basis. This award is to thank them for their growing friendships through the blog world.
The Humane Award is from Stacy. She is so sweet and generous. Thank you so much for this award Stacy.
The Lemonade Award is given to those who show great attitude and gratitude in their blogging.
The Lemonade Award is from Serena. Thank you Serena, I feel so honored. If you like poetry and if you haven’t checked out her blog, please do so now.
The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken – excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all…
The zombie chicken Award is from a new to blogger Lady Lazarus who has a very nice and interesting blog. Thank you so much for this cute award.
It looks great! So glad you were able to use the program 🙂 I love it!

I just discovered Picnik, too. It is really great! I love that it’s soooo much easier to use than Photoshop, and you can post your photos to flickr or facebook right from the sight after editing them!
Congratulations on the awards!!!

Wow, that’s awesome! A lot of the pictures I take come out too dark, so this will come in handy for me. Also, it’s good to see you 😀
And congrats on all your award, Violet! They’re well deserved.

I use picnic all the time and love it! I can create pictures for my blog, photos with words – the real fun thing is I learned you can do all your changes even words on the pics and then email them to Wal-Mart or wherever to be printed out. They make wonderful gifts that way!
