I forgot its Thursday and I already posted something else. As a rule I don’t do two posts a day. But anyway. Do visit the other post and let me know what you think of Reader’s Digest Condensed editions.
Onto BTT.
Today’s questions is (are)
Which do you prefer? (Quick answers–we’ll do more detail at some later date)
Reading something frivolous? Or something serious?
Both, depending on my mood. Alternately perhaps.
Paperbacks? Or hardcovers?
Both, preferably paperbacks.
Fiction? Or Nonfiction?
Fiction, sometimes non-fiction, mainly memoirs
Poetry? Or Prose?
Prose. I don’t read poetry.
Biographies? Or Autobiographies?
Any. No, I think autobiographies.
History? Or Historical Fiction?
Historical Fiction
Series? Or Stand-alones?
Stand-alones. But sometimes series have their own charm.
Classics? Or best-sellers?
Both.
Lurid, fruity prose? Or straight-forward, basic prose?
Again both
Plots? Or Stream-of-Consciousness?
Plots, I think.
Long books? Or Short?
Short or medium for that matter
Illustrated? Or Non-illustrated?
Both
Borrowed? Or Owned?
Owned
New? Or Used?
Both, preferably old.
(Yes, I know, some of these we’ve touched on before, and some of these we might address in-depth in the future, but for today–just quick answers!)
Considering how much I love to ramble on I had a hard time giving the answers. I had to curb my urge to elaborate many times 🙂
What about you?
I found this one easy to answer. Apart from two points, it’s yes to the lot.

I found this quite hard and have learnt that it seems I can’t do anything quicly with just one word answers hahahaha!

Keeping the answers short was the biggest challenge this week. 🙂 My preference often depends on how I’m feeling, how busy I am, etc.
I answered both for a few too. I just couldn’t choose.

Mine were also mostly BOTH 😀

Hehe, I love that you answered both to most of them … And I had to resist temptation to elaborate most of the time too.

I think I’d have ‘it depends’ for almost all those choices!

Like everyone else I found it hard to give simple answers. It was difficult for me to choose because I like a variety of different types of books. Happy BTT!

I found it easy to be brief today. Maybe I need to drink a cup of coffee to get the words flowing. Happy BTT

Coffee and answering the meme was a good way to wake up. A lot of them were “both” or “depends”.

Also had to fight the urge to not elaborate! ;D

Lots of grey areas in this week’s answer.
I prefer a plot-driven novel that slowly unfolds in fruity and lush prose, with multiple layers and allusion that indulge my mind long after I turn the last page like the lingering aftertaste of a good glass of wine.

I’d probably say “both” to most of them 😛
