BTT: A Second First time?

What book would you love to be able to read again for the first time?
(Interestingly, I thought that I had thought this one up myself, but when I started scrolling through the Suggestions, found that Rebecca had suggested almost exactly this question a couple months ago. So, we both get credit!)

There are quite a few books actually.

Maximum city: I remember reading this book and being constantly shocked, surprised or amazed. You don’t find that in a lot of books. And it was very informative. I love books that provide information without boring you. This book was good. I would love to curl up with it and not wanting to keep it down, no matter how late it is in the night.

Legends of Pensam: I know I’ve mentioned this book way too many times lately. But I still remember reading it and pointing out sentences or passages to my sister. It exhilarating to discover that words can be so beautiful.

The first Nora Roberts book I’ve read: Unfortunately I don’t remember the name. But I want the feeling of discovering a new favorite author, loving the book so much and then discovering that she has written loads of other books which you can dive into.

What book would you love to read again for the first time?

  1. When I first started to write my post, I was like, “Oh! There’s so many!” But then I drew a blank. lol… funny how that works out, eh?

I’ve never heard of your two, and never read any Nora Roberts… I suppose I’ll have to give her a try sometime.

  2. I can relate to this. Hear, hear!

My first Nora Roberts book was “Jewels of the Sun” but it was the next of the series, “Tears of the Moon” that made me fall in love with her works completely.

  3. I’m not familiar with these, but I’m curious about ‘Pensam.’ And from your words and the comments, it looks like I have to meet a Nora Roberts book!

  4. I’m not sure if I’ve read any of her books written as Nora Roberts. But I love the J.D. Robb In Death series. For those who don’t know, Roberts writes under about three different names.

  5. I would love to read the Anne of Green Gables series for the first time again, as a adult. I know I missed so much of the humor reading it as a girl – of course, I loved it, but I think I would appreciate it more reading as an adult.

  6. My choice is Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. Reading it for the first time and reading it again must almost be like reading two completely different books.

  7. I’ve only just finished The Other Hand by Chris Cleave and I’d love to read it again for the first time. I heartily recommend it. Visit my blog to see why. Happy reading!

  8. I have a little stack of books that I’d love to re-read some day, but there just never seems to be enough time! I haven’t read anything by Nora Roberts–I should pick something up by her.
