Photo blogging…

I just feel like photo blogging today.

I was arranging my book shelf at home. I missed it so much. These are the only books I have and absolutely no space to keep them, so I resist buying new books.

My TBR pile.

I just love this particular piece of furniture. I don’t use all of the stuff obviously but I don’t have the heart to clear it out.

This is my computer table and the shelf’s above it are the only place I can keep my books. I was still arranging them.

This is my favorite place to read in the entire house. especially when it rains, I open the doors and just sit back and relax with a book.

And this is me. I and J were sitting in a restaurant and he wanted to click my picture. I was obviously resisting.

  1. Just checked out your TBR pile. I would recommend the following:

    1) Love in the Time of Cholera (my fav because of it being the fav of my fav actor, John Cusack. His every movie has a mention of this book ๐Ÿ˜€ and it’s used as a prop in his movie Serendipity even) ๐Ÿ˜‰
    2) Curious incident of the dog in the night time.. darned good book, if I ever say so myself. Loved it.. it’s different.
    3) 5 past midnight in bhopal.. a good read
    4) Kane and Abel.. Man don’t miss this one.. it’s a really good book all the way to the end.. amazing. And to follow up, read the other 2 books in the series.. The Prodigal Daughter.. and then Shall we tell the president?
    5) Recommendation: As the crow flies by J. Archer. Another brilliant piece of story telling ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. Thanks Pinky ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hemanshu: Action books huh?
‘People’s act of love’ is action. Well, okay, I know it’s only one. I am not much into action novels. Whatever action books I have read were taken from the library or borrowed from friends.

I thought ‘Love in …’ is a love story? I started books no 2 and 3, but didn’t finish them. Time constraints. And when I found myself going back to them, I couldn’t remember a word I had read. So I started with new books. But I’ll get back to them eventually.
There are some books with me which I haven’t read but are not in my TBR pile, coz I know I am never going to read them. That kind of makes me sad.

Thanks for the recommendations, I’ll keep them in mind ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Are you really ready Rosemary’s baby by Stephen King? Man I rememver reading it when I was in my 9th or 10th.. couldn’t understand a freaking word by the time I got through with it.. the end is quite crazy and messed up.. at least in my childish mind..

  5. Oh…I didn’t get your MIA, because it was working fine from my side ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, the Rosemary’s baby I am reading is by Ira Levin. There is even movie based on it I think. I am not much of a fan of Stephen King. I tried, but his books just don’t interest me.

  6. Haha Jennifer, I know what you mean. I feel really bad when I see my TBR pile, but then it also means I don’t have to worry about having nothing to read for a long time ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll second Hemanshu’s recommendation of the 3 Jeffrey Archer books – they are seriously addictive! Oh wow…you SHOULD give Stephen King a try as I’m one of his biggest fans.

If you’re not that into horror, try “A Different Seasons”, which is a nice of set of his short stories – totally different from his usual themes.
